Gallery & Retail
The web has been called the Global Marketplace, and our Gallery CoreSite is specialized for most any artistic and/or retail venture where the site owner wishes to display their items. Then, our Retail CoreSite builds on that foundation by adding optional pricing, shopping cart, inventory and ordering functions. It's a natural progression as many retailers are unprepared for the intricacies of internet commerce, so starting with a Gallery helps smooth that transition.
As you review our samples, you may notice a Gallery site as being on either an Artist or Retail path. The Artist's path is where the main intent is to show off items, and full sales via the web is not a priority. For the artist, the focus is on the items themselves and in interesting ways they can be displayed. The Retail path, on the other hand, is for those who fully intend to sell their items through their site. For the retailer, the focus is as much on the methods of selling and payment processing as it is on the items themselves. Thusly, we provide the functions and guidance that each path demands.
